Ask it about your visibility, competitors, prompts, citations, or analytics. It reads from your scans, your connected integrations, and your brand profile. It does not search the open web.

What hey erlin knows

hey erlin loads your Erlin data before answering each question. The specific data it uses depends on what you ask: For visibility and performance questions (the most common): AI Visibility dashboard metrics, per-prompt results across platforms, GSC keywords and clicks, GA4 sessions and traffic, content decay signals, and keyword stats. For content and strategy questions: everything above plus your brand profile (company name, industry, products), keyword gaps, cannibalization data, and page-level ROI. If a data source has not been set up (for example, GSC is not connected), hey erlin tells you that data is unavailable and suggests connecting it.

How to use it

Open hey erlin from the sidebar. Type a question in the input field at the bottom. Responses stream in real time, word by word. Your conversation history persists: come back later and your previous messages are still there.

Suggested questions

When you open hey erlin with no message history, four starter prompts appear:
  • “What is my AI visibility?”
  • “How are we doing on ChatGPT?”
  • “Who are my top competitors?”
  • “What can I do to improve my visibility?”
Click any of them to send it immediately. You can also ask follow-up questions in your own words:
  • “Which prompts am I losing visibility on?”
  • “What changed in my visibility this week?”
  • “Which publications cite my competitors but not me?”
  • “Show me my best-performing prompt folder”
  • “What keywords are we cannibalizing?”

Slash commands

Type / in the input field to see available commands: Slash commands produce short, focused responses. Use them when you want a quick insight without a full conversation.

Observations

When you start a new conversation, hey erlin may surface observation cards before you ask anything. These are priority actions from your opportunity data:
  • Content to create (a topic where competitors are cited but you have nothing)
  • Pages to update (existing content that is losing position)
  • Citations to pursue (a high-influence source that does not mention you yet)
  • Prompts to track (a relevant question you are not monitoring)
Each observation card shows a title, description, and a follow-up button. Click the button to ask hey erlin for more detail on that specific opportunity.

Reporting issues

Click Report Issue in the chat interface to send feedback directly to the Erlin team. You can report bugs, request features, share UX feedback, or flag incorrect responses. Attach screenshots if helpful. Reports are tracked and the team responds via the same channel.

What hey erlin does not do

hey erlin reads your data and answers from it. It does not:
  • Search the open web or pull from external sources
  • Change your settings, run scans, or execute prompts
  • Access data from other users or other brands in your account
If you ask a question outside its data (for example, general marketing advice not tied to your metrics), it will answer based on what it knows about your brand rather than generating generic advice.
