Plans and usage

The Usage and Billing tab shows your credit balance, feature usage against plan limits, and payment history. Open Settings > Accounts from the sidebar and select the Usage and Billing tab.

Credits

Credits are the currency for actions in Erlin. Every prompt execution, content generation step, and keyword analysis consumes credits from your balance. The Credits card shows:

• Credits used / total: how many credits you have consumed out of your allocation
• Progress bar: visual indicator (green under 70%, orange 70-90%, red above 90%)
• Prompts worth: estimated number of prompts you can still run with remaining credits
• Articles worth: estimated number of articles you can still generate

Credits come from two sources: onboarding credits (included with your plan) and purchased credits (bought separately). Both are drawn from the same balance. BYOK users: if you have an active API key connected (Bring Your Own Key plan), credits are not consumed. All actions use your API key directly, giving you unlimited access.

How credits are used

Every action in Erlin has a credit cost based on what it does: Prompt execution details: the number of platforms depends on your plan. Starter plans run on 2 platforms (4 credits per prompt). Standard plans run on 3 platforms (6 credits). Pro plans run on 4 platforms (8 credits). Content generation details: each step in the article workflow is charged separately. The brief costs credits based on its word count. The article costs credits based on its word count. Edits cost credits based on how many words Erlin regenerates.

Feature limits

Each plan includes limits on how much you can use per billing period:

• Prompts: total prompt executions allowed
• Content words: total words Erlin can generate
• Website analyses: number of brand analyses allowed

The Usage Overview card shows three summary metrics: your current plan name, average usage percentage across all features, and how many limits you have exceeded. Below it, individual feature cards show the exact numbers: usage amount, limit, remaining capacity, and percentage consumed.

Managing your subscription

Self-service plans (monthly/annual subscriptions): click Manage Subscription on the Usage Overview card. Erlin opens your Stripe billing portal where you can update payment methods, view invoices, or cancel. Enterprise plans: contact the Erlin team at [email protected] to make subscription changes. Upgrading: click Upgrade Plan on the Usage Overview card to see available plans and pricing.

Payment history

Below the usage cards, the History section shows your payment and credit transactions:

• Payment transactions: every Stripe payment with amount, status, date, payment method, and a link to the hosted invoice
• Credit transactions: every credit deduction with the operation type, credits consumed, and timestamp

Filter by status or scroll through the list to review your billing history.
