The Erlin MCP server connects your Erlin account to Claude. Ask about your visibility, run checks, view competitors, and get content recommendations without leaving your conversation.

What the MCP server does

Erlin gives Claude access to your brand visibility data. You ask questions in plain language. Claude pulls the answer from your Erlin account and presents it directly in your conversation. Six areas of your Erlin account are available through Claude:
  • Visibility checks across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity
  • Dashboard metrics and historical snapshots
  • Tracked prompts and collections
  • Competitor rankings and share of voice
  • Google Search Console and Google Analytics data
  • Content recommendations (decay, cannibalization, opportunities)

How it works

You ask Claude a question about your brand. Claude recognizes it as an Erlin question, pulls your data from your Erlin account, and answers with real numbers from your latest scans. You stay in the same conversation the entire time. Behind the scenes, the MCP server uses your API key to read from Erlin securely. Your data is never stored on the MCP server itself: it fetches what Claude needs, delivers the answer, and moves on.

What you can ask

Once connected, you can ask Claude questions like:
  • “What is my visibility score this week?”
  • “How are we doing on ChatGPT vs Perplexity?”
  • “Who are my top competitors by share of voice?”
  • “Show me my dashboard”
  • “Check visibility for these prompts: best CRM software, top CRM tools 2025”
  • “What pages are losing traffic?”
  • “Which keywords am I cannibalizing?”
Claude calls the appropriate Erlin tool and presents the results in your conversation. No need to switch to the Erlin app for quick lookups.

Slash commands

Five pre-built workflows are available as slash commands in Claude Desktop. Type / to see them: Each command orchestrates multiple tool calls automatically. You get a complete report without typing individual questions.

Platforms covered

The MCP server checks your brand visibility on three AI platforms:
  • ChatGPT (OpenAI)
  • Gemini (Google)
  • Perplexity (Perplexity AI)
Visibility checks run on these platforms and return whether your brand was mentioned, your position in recommendation lists, and what sources were cited.

Prerequisites

You need the Claude Desktop app and an Erlin account. The recommended connection method (OAuth via Connectors) requires no API key, no terminal, and no config files. You can also connect via Claude Code CLI or a config file with an API key.
