AI Opportunities analyzes your visibility data and generates specific, prioritized actions you can take to improve how AI platforms mention your brand.

How opportunities are generated

Erlin’s opportunity engine runs a pipeline that:
  1. Fetches your latest visibility snapshots (AI responses to your prompts)
  2. Analyzes visibility changes — which prompts improved, declined, or lost mentions
  3. Cross-references with citation data — which sources AI platforms are citing
  4. Generates actionable opportunities with priority scores
The pipeline runs asynchronously. You’ll see a progress banner while it works, and a notification when it’s complete.

Priority scoring

Each opportunity gets a priority score (0-100) based on:
  • Influence score of the source being cited
  • Visibility delta — how much your visibility changed
  • Competitor presence — how many competitors are mentioned
  • Effort level — how easy it is to act on

Effort levels

LevelMeaning
Self-serveYou can do this yourself (write content, update a page)
Outreach requiredRequires contacting a third party (get cited on their site)
TechnicalRequires content work or structural changes

Working with opportunities

Status workflow

Each opportunity moves through these statuses:
  • Pending — newly generated, awaiting your review
  • In Progress — you’re working on it
  • Completed — action taken
  • Saved for Later — bookmarked for future action
  • Dismissed — not relevant, hidden from view

Opportunity detail

Click any opportunity to see:
  • Title and description — what the opportunity is
  • Action steps — specific steps to take
  • Source URL — the page being cited by AI
  • Matched page — your existing page (if any) that could be improved
  • Competitors mentioned — which competitors appear in this context
  • Influence score — how impactful this source is

Acting on “Create Content” opportunities

When you click Execute on a Create Content opportunity, Erlin navigates you to the Article Generation page with the keyword pre-filled. This connects the opportunity directly to content creation.

Impact measurement

After you act on an opportunity and run a new visibility scan, Erlin measures the impact:
  • Visibility before — your score when the opportunity was created
  • Visibility after — your score after the next scan
  • Delta — the improvement (or decline)
This closed-loop measurement helps you understand which actions actually move the needle.

Generating opportunities

Click Discover on the AI Opportunities page to trigger a new pipeline run. This requires:
  • At least one collection with tracked prompts
  • At least one completed visibility scan
The pipeline typically takes 30-60 seconds to complete.
