Prompts are the questions and queries that Erlin sends to AI platforms to check if your brand is mentioned. The quality and relevance of your prompts directly impacts the usefulness of your visibility data.

How prompts work

Each prompt represents a question your target audience might ask an AI assistant. For example:

• “What’s the best tool for tracking AI brand visibility?”
• “Which SEO platforms support AI search optimization?”
• “How can I improve my brand’s presence in ChatGPT?”

Managing prompts

Auto-generated prompts

When you set up your brand, Erlin automatically generates relevant prompts based on your domain analysis. These cover common questions in your industry.

Adding custom prompts

You can add your own prompts to track specific questions important to your business. Good custom prompts are:

• Specific — Target a clear user intent
• Natural — Written how a real person would ask
• Relevant — Related to your product or service category

Organizing with folders

Group related prompts into folders to keep things organized:
