A visibility scan sends your prompts to multiple AI platforms and analyzes whether your brand is mentioned in the responses.

What happens during a scan

1

Prompts are sent

Each prompt in your collection is sent to AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude).
2

Responses are collected

Erlin captures the full AI-generated response for each prompt on each platform.
3

Brand mentions are detected

Responses are analyzed for mentions of your brand and your competitors.
4

Scores are calculated

Your visibility score is computed based on mention frequency, sentiment, and positioning.

Understanding your results

After a scan completes, you’ll see:
  • Visibility score — A percentage showing how often your brand appears in AI responses
  • Platform breakdown — How you perform on each AI platform individually
  • Prompt-level detail — Which specific prompts mention your brand and which don’t
  • Competitor comparison — How your visibility stacks up against competitors
  • Trends — How your score changes over time (after multiple scans)

Scan duration

A typical scan takes 2-5 minutes depending on the number of prompts. You’ll see a progress indicator and receive a notification when it’s complete.
