# Collection

> Generate AI-optimized collection and category page content with intro, SEO block, footer, and FAQs.

Enter a collection title and keywords, or provide an existing collection URL, and Erlin generates the full page. All written in your brand tone.

## Two options

Open **Content > Create > Collection** to see two tabs:

| **Update Existing Collection** | Collection page URL + keywords | Scrapes the current page, reads its title and description, then generates improved content |

## Creating a new collection description

    Click the **Create New Collection** tab.

    Type the name of your collection. For example: "Summer Collection 2025" or "Best Sellers."

  <Step title="Add a description">
    Write a summary of what the collection contains, who it is for, and what makes it distinct. Erlin uses this as context when generating the page content.

  <Step title="Add SEO keywords">
    Enter the keywords you want the collection page to rank for. Separate them with commas. For example: "summer, collection, seasonal, fashion, trending."
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Generate Description">
    Erlin writes the collection page content using your brand tone, the description you provided, and the target keywords. The result appears on the right panel.

## Updating an existing collection

Select the **Update Existing Collection** tab. Enter the URL of your current collection page. Erlin scrapes the page and reads the existing title and meta description. Add or adjust SEO keywords, then click Generate. Erlin produces improved content based on what is already on the page, rewritten in your brand tone.

## What Erlin generates

The output is a structured collection page with multiple sections:

| Section       | What it contains                                              |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Intro**     | An opening paragraph introducing the collection and its theme |
| **SEO block** | A longer content section optimized for the target keywords    |
| **Footer**    | A closing section with final messaging or a call to action    |
| **FAQs**      | Question and answer pairs relevant to the collection topic    |

Some outputs also include rules (content guidelines used during generation) and examples (sample product names or categories). These help you understand how Erlin structured the content.

## How Erlin uses your brand context

When generating collection content, Erlin draws from:

* **Brand tone**: the voice, personality, and word choice defined in **Brand > Tone**
* **Company URL**: Erlin uses your website as context to match your existing content style
* **Keywords**: the SEO terms you provided shape the language and structure

The output reads as if written by someone who knows your brand. If the tone feels off, update your brand tone settings and regenerate.

## Prerequisites

Brand tone must be set up before Erlin can generate collection descriptions. If tone data is missing, Erlin shows a dialog prompting you to generate your brand tone first via **Brand > Tone**.

## Where collections are stored

Generated collections save automatically and appear in the **Library**. Return to any collection later to view the output or copy it to your CMS.
